The Center for Community Health Development completed the 2022 Brazos Valley Health Status Assessment in April 2022. The 2022 assessment region includes the counties of Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Lee, Leon, Madison, Milam, Robertson, and Washington.

The Center for Community Health Development completed the Brazos Valley Health Status Assessment in May 2019. This region includes the counties of Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Robertson, and Washington.

The Center for Community Health Development completed the  CHI St. Luke’s Memorial-Health Community Needs Assessment in March 2019. This region includes the counties of Angelina, Houston, Jasper, Polk, Sabine, San Augustine, and Trinity.

In 2001, the Center for Community Health Development initiated a plan to utilize a community health development approach (CHD) to improve health in the Brazos Valley. The center led the community through the CHD process of assessment, planning, and implementation to develop locally supported, sustainable health solutions called community resource centers. In 2017, the Episcopal Health Foundation contracted with the center to document the history of the community resource centers through a Case Study as well as create a Toolkit for replication and/or adaptation to develop similar resource centers.

In March 2012, the Center for Community Health Development and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research co-hosted the International Conference to Advance a Population Health Intervention Research Agenda in Montréal, Québec, Canada. Full proceedings of the conference may be found here.
